Whether you are setting up a new tow vehicle or replacing worn components, having the right tow hitch makes a difference to safety and ride quality. This collection brings together tow hitches, drop hitches, air ride hitches and coupling accessories from brands like Cruisemaster, Gen Y, Air Safe and Shocker Hitch.
Types of Tow Hitches
There are several styles of tow hitch depending on your towing setup and what you are towing:
- Adjustable drop hitches let you set the height to level the trailer with the tow vehicle
- Air ride tow hitches use an air bag to absorb bumps and reduce stress on both vehicles
- DO35 and DO45 hitch kits are pin-style couplings common on Australian caravans
- Coupling kits and tow pins cover replacement components for existing setups
If you are unsure which style suits your setup, check your tow vehicle's receiver size and your trailer's coupling type.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I choose the right tow hitch?
Start with the weight rating. Your hitch needs to be rated at or above the gross trailer mass of what you are towing. Then match the receiver size on your tow vehicle (usually 2" or 2.5") and the coupling type on your trailer (DO35, DO45, ball mount, etc.).
What is the difference between a drop hitch and an air ride hitch?
A drop hitch lets you adjust the height so the trailer sits level. An air ride hitch adds an air bag to absorb road impacts. Some setups use both features together.
Do I need a locking pin for my tow hitch?
A locking pin adds security by preventing the hitch pin from being removed without a key. We carry locking pins in our caravan hitch locks collection.
